Okay folks, I haven’t gotten my hands on this device yet but after reading Andy Oram’s post on it – I want it. The Zeo is a device that monitors how you are sleeping and then offers analysis of how you have been sleeping each night. I’d love to try this and see what it says about my sleep patterns. At $250 it isn’t an inexpensive device – but I’m adding it to the wish list.

In the future I expect us to see a lot more of these devices – and then the reduction of these devices into a single device. This increase in monitoring and analysis of our lives will allow us to significant improve our health and reduce healthcare costs by proactively resolving issues before they become major (imagine people with sleep apnea finding out about it before they get into a horrific car accident or a sudden change in brain wave patterns signaling a epileptic seizure triggering an automatic emergency response from a hospital).
